Q: Where does the USB cable fit on my camera?
A: All cameras are different but generally the USB fits into the side or the bottom of the camera / camcorder underneath a rubber flap. The easiest way to find out where it fits is to check your user manual. If you don’t have the manual you can download a digital copy from our DOWNLOADS section of the website. Most cameras also have HDMI outputs so be sure that you’re checking the correct output.
Q: What do I do if the cable you supplied does not fit my camera?
A: Before contacting us check your camera for any hidden output. Sometimes they are hidden underneath rubber flaps. If you have located the correct output on your camera and the cable does not fit then you need to contact us directly so we can resolve the issue.
Q: What do I do if the cable is damaged?
A: If the cable has been damaged before you received it we will need to either see photographic proof via email or have the cable sent back to us. If we can verify that the cable is damaged we can arrange for another one to be sent out. All postage will be refunded if the fault lies with us.
Q: What if the cable does not respond with my device?
A: In some cases you may find the USB cable is not responding with your device when plugged in. The most common solution is to reinstall the drivers for your camera onto your computer and try again. If this does not solve the issue then please get in contact with us so we can help you.
Q: Does the cable charge the camera?
A: Most modern cameras now have the capability of USB charging. If this is the case then the USB cable we supply will charge your camera. To be sure check your device’s manual
In some cases the camera is meant to charge by the USB cable but won't. A simple fix has been to remove the memory card from the camera and re-try. This seems to be most common in Nikon cameras
Q: What does the L.E.D on the top of my USB cable indicate?
A: Some cables have a light on the camera end, which shows what function the cable is performing. When the cable is plugged into the PC / MAC it will light GREEN to show it is plugged in. When it is connected to the device it will turn RED to show it is charging the device. When the cable has finished charging the device it will turn back to GREEN.
